Information by Research TrustFinance
The Nationaal Warmtefonds (National Heat Fund) is a Dutch government-initiated revolving fund aimed at accelerating the energy transition in the Netherlands. Established by the Dutch central government and managed by the Stimuleringsfonds Volkshuisvesting (SVn), its mission is to offer accessible and low-interest loans, known as the "Energiebespaarlening" (Energy Saving Loan), to private homeowners, Schools, and Homeowners' Associations (VvE's). This financing enables them to invest in energy-saving measures such as insulation, solar panels, and heat pumps, thereby reducing CO2 emissions and lowering energy bills.
