Nassau Savings Bank

Information by Research Trustfinance

Nassau Savings and Loan Association was a federally chartered savings and loan (S&L) institution, also known as a "thrift," that primarily served communities in Nassau County, New York. Like other S&Ls of its era, its core business was accepting savings deposits from the public and providing mortgage loans for residential properties. The institution failed during the widespread U.S. Savings and Loan crisis and was placed into receivership with the Resolution Trust Corporation. On February 21, 1992, its assets were acquired by The Dime Savings Bank of New York, FSB.
