Founded in 2013 on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation, the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF), also known as FRII (ФРИИ), is the most active venture capital fund in Russia. Its mission is to foster the development of the Russian technology and internet entrepreneurship ecosystem. IIDF provides investment, expert support, and acceleration programs to promising startups, primarily focusing on seed and pre-seed stage companies in sectors like IT, SaaS, AI, and digital medicine. The fund has invested in hundreds of startups, building one of the largest early-stage portfolios in Europe.
