interest setter
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 2010, InterestSetter was one of the United Kingdom's largest and most prominent peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platforms, connecting individual and institutional investors with consumer and business borrowers. The company was a pioneer in the P2P space, notably introducing a "Provision Fund" to help mitigate investor losses from borrower defaults. In 2020, InterestSetter was acquired by the specialist lending and savings bank, Shawbrook Bank. Following the acquisition, the company announced the closure of its P2P platform to new investments in 2021 and is currently in the process of winding down its existing P2P loan portfolio. The InterestSetter brand is now used by Shawbrook Bank for some of its savings products.
