GO-NET
Information by Research Trustfinance
GO-NET, Inc. was founded in July 2019 as a joint venture by three of Japan's largest banks (MUFG Bank, Mizuho Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) and NTT DATA Corporation. The company's mission was to create a new financial infrastructure for small-lot payments, leveraging Digital Ledger Technology (DLT) to enable 24/7, real-time, and low-cost settlements. Despite its innovative goals, the company faced challenges in building a commercially viable business model amidst a rapidly evolving payments landscape. Consequently, its shareholders made the decision to cease operations, and the company was officially dissolved as of March 31, 2023.
