Founded in 1954, General Electric Credit Union (GECU) is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative originally established to serve employees of General Electric. It has since expanded to serve over 200,000 members from more than 200 Select Employee Groups and anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the Greater Cincinnati area. GECU's mission is to improve the financial lives of its members by offering a full suite of financial products, including checking and savings accounts, auto loans, mortgages, credit cards, and investment services, while returning profits to members through better rates and lower fees.
