Flare is a blockchain network that aims to solve the data acquisition problem for decentralized applications. Its core technologies, the State Connector and the Flare Time Series Oracle (FTSO), are designed to provide dApps with secure and scalable access to a wide variety of off-chain data, such as transaction information from other blockchains and real-world data like price feeds. By expanding the utility of smart contracts with more data, Flare's mission is to enable the development of a new generation of decentralized use cases and foster greater interoperability within the blockchain ecosystem. The project gained initial prominence through its airdrop to XRP holders.
