The First Nations Financial Management Board (FNFMB) is an institution established under the First Nations Fiscal Management Act (FMA) in Canada. Its primary mission is to provide First Nations governments with the tools, support, and services to strengthen their financial management systems and administrative governance. This includes offering services like Financial Management System Certification, Financial Performance Certification, and Capacity Development. By achieving FNFMB certification, First Nations can gain improved access to long-term, affordable capital through the First Nations Finance Authority (FNFA), another institution created under the FMA.
