Established in 2011 by the European Commission in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB), the European Energy Efficiency Fund (eeef) is a "société d'investissement à capital variable" (SICAV) under Luxembourg law. Its mission is to support the climate and energy targets of the European Union by providing dedicated financing for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and clean urban transport projects. The fund primarily targets municipal, local, and regional authorities, but also collaborates with public and private entities to achieve its goals of mitigating climate change. Deutsche Bank AG acts as the fund's Investment Manager.
