Founded in 2001, Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. was a global provider of specialty lines of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance. The company grew to become a significant player in the global market, offering a diverse range of products through its operating subsidiaries. In March 2017, Endurance was acquired by Sompo Holdings, Inc., a leading Japanese insurance provider. Following the acquisition, Endurance was integrated with Sompo's existing international commercial insurance and reinsurance businesses to form Sompo International Holdings Ltd., which continues to operate as a global specialty provider of P&C insurance and reinsurance.
