Founded in 2015, Common Wealth Charlotte (CWC) is a nonprofit organization that offers a comprehensive range of financial capability services. Its mission is to help Charlotte-Mecklenburg’s low-income workers build savings, reduce debt, and achieve long-term financial goals through trauma-informed financial education, one-on-one financial counseling, and access to special financial products like matched savings accounts and low-interest loans. CWC collaborates with employer partners and other community organizations to deliver its services and foster economic opportunity for financially vulnerable families.
