Church Extension Fund
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 1978, the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) operates as a non-profit financial institution and ministry of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Its mission is to empower and support the growth of LCMS churches, schools, and related organizations by providing capital for building projects and other ministry needs. LCEF raises funds by offering a variety of investment opportunities exclusively to LCMS members, congregations, and organizations. These invested funds are then used to provide customized, affordable loans for facility construction, renovation, and land acquisition within the synod, effectively creating a system where the savings of LCMS members directly support the mission of their church.
