Through its mobile app, users at participating merchants could have their spare change from a cash purchase loaded directly into their ChangeJar digital wallet instead of receiving physical coins. This "digital change" could then be accumulated, sent to other users, or used to pay for goods at partner vendors, effectively creating a mobile cash and micro-payment platform. The company was founded in 2015 but ceased operations, leading to its official dissolution in early 2020.
