Founded in 2012 by John P. Pizzi and Akshai Fofaria, BaseVenture developed and operated a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) platform designed to streamline fund management and administration for private equity, venture capital, and other alternative investment funds. The platform aimed to simplify complex processes such as investor onboarding, capital calls, distributions, and reporting for fund managers, administrators, and their investors. In October 2017, BaseVenture was acquired by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners and was subsequently merged with VTS (View The Space), another Vista portfolio company focused on commercial real estate software. The BaseVenture brand is no longer active, and its technology and team have been integrated into VTS.
