Originally founded in 1996 as Au Financiers (India) Ltd., a non-banking finance company (NBFC), the company transformed into AU Small Finance Bank in April 2017 after receiving a license from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). The bank focuses on serving the unserved and underserved low and middle-income individuals and Micro/Small/Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across India. Its mission is to build a customer-centric institution that offers a full suite of banking products including savings and current accounts, fixed deposits, debit & credit cards, loans (vehicle, business, home, personal), insurance, and investments.
