The Asset Based Finance Association (ABFA) was the trade body for the asset-based finance industry, including factoring, invoice discounting, and asset-based lending, in the UK and Ireland. Its mission was to promote the industry, set and enforce standards for its members, and represent the sector's interests to government, regulators, and other stakeholders. In July 2017, the ABFA merged with the British Bankers’ Association, the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Financial Fraud Action UK, and Payments UK to form a new, comprehensive trade association named UK Finance. All functions and representations of the ABFA are now carried out by UK Finance.
