Asaas Gestão Financeira Instituição de Pagamento S.A., known as Asaas, is a financial technology company focused on automating financial processes for micro and small entrepreneurs, freelancers, and SMEs in Brazil. Founded in 2013 by brothers Piero and Diego Contezini, the company's mission is to simplify business collections and payments. Asaas offers a comprehensive suite of tools through its digital account, including issuing invoices (Boletos), processing credit/debit card payments, managing subscriptions via a recurring payment API, and facilitating payments through Brazil's Pix system. In 2021, Asaas received authorization from the Central Bank of Brazil to operate as a Payment Institution, and in 2023, it was acquired by Nubank, one of Latin America's largest digital banking platforms, to strengthen its B2B offerings.
