Managed by the non-profit organization Fahe, the Appalachian Opportunity Fund (AOF) is a U.S. Treasury-certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Its mission is to build a vibrant and sustainable economy in central Appalachia by providing financing and business development support to small businesses and entrepreneurs in underserved markets. AOF focuses on closing the capital gap for businesses that may not qualify for traditional bank financing, thereby fostering job creation and economic growth throughout the region.
