Originally chartered in 1949 as the Laurel Federal Credit Union, the institution rebranded to Altana Federal Credit Union in 2016 to better reflect its growing and diverse membership. As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, Altana's mission is to help its members make sound financial decisions. It returns profits to its members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and reduced fees. The credit union offers a full suite of personal and business banking services, including checking and savings accounts, loans, mortgages, and investment services.
