Founded in 1984, the Alexandria Business Association (ABA) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting free-market principles and supporting the private sector in Egypt. Its mission is to contribute to national economic development. A core component of its work is the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Development Center, which has become a leading microfinance institution in the Arab world, providing loans, technical assistance, and training to small business owners and entrepreneurs to help them grow and create jobs.
