Founded in 1947 as the Allentown Finance Company, AFC First Financial Corporation grew to become a prominent national provider of financing for energy-efficient home and commercial improvements. The company specialized in offering accessible loans for projects such as high-efficiency HVAC systems, windows, roofing, insulation, and renewable energy installations like solar panels. It operated through a large network of approved contractors across the United States. In July 2017, AFC First was acquired by KeyBank, and its lending programs and operations were integrated into KeyBank's consumer banking services, continuing under the KeyBank brand.
