Sydney Credit Union
Information by Research TrustFinance
Sydney Credit Union was originally established in 1960 to serve the employees of the Sydney City Council. Over the decades, it grew by merging with several other credit unions, including those for Electricity, Health, Water Board, and Local Government employees. On 1 March 2021, Sydney Credit Union merged with Unity Bank Limited (which was formerly the Maritime Workers of Australia Credit Union). The merged entity now operates under the Unity Bank brand, continuing the mission of being a member-owned institution that provides competitive financial products and services while reinvesting profits to benefit its members.
