SOCASH
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 2015, SOCASH created a platform that connects banks, merchants, and consumers to facilitate cardless cash withdrawals. The service allows users of partnered mobile banking apps to withdraw cash from a vast network of participating merchants, such as convenience stores and cafes, effectively creating an "aggregator of small merchants into a scalable network for cash." In February 2022, SOCASH was acquired by the global B2B payments company Nium to expand Nium's real-time payment and payout capabilities, integrating SOCASH's network as an alternative cash collection and payout solution.
