The Nordic Development Fund (NDF) is the joint international finance institution (IFI) of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden. Established in 1989, its mandate was updated in 2009 to focus exclusively on the nexus of climate change and development in lower-income countries. NDF provides financing, primarily through grants, for projects that address both climate change adaptation and mitigation, supporting innovative and scalable solutions in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
