The Modern Markets Initiative (MMI) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit education and advocacy organization for principal trading firms that utilize high-frequency trading (HFT) strategies. Its mission is to engage with policymakers, regulators, and the public to promote a better understanding of modern market structures and the positive role that technology and automated trading play in financial markets. MMI's member firms include prominent players in the HFT space such as Citadel Securities, GTS, Hudson River Trading, Tower Research Capital, and Virtu Financial.
