MEFF (Mercado Español de Futuros Financieros) is the derivatives exchange of Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME), the operator of all stock markets and financial systems in Spain. Founded in 1989, MEFF became part of the BME Group in 2001, which was subsequently acquired by the Swiss financial infrastructure operator SIX Group in 2020. The company operates as both a regulated market and a central counterparty clearing house (CCP), offering trading and clearing services for a variety of derivative products, including stock index futures and options, single stock futures and options, and electricity derivatives. Its mission is to provide secure, efficient, and transparent markets for risk management and investment.
