Founded in 1849, the Koninklijke Vereniging voor de Staathuishoudkunde (KVS) is one of the world's oldest economic associations. Its primary mission is to bridge the gap between economic science, policy, and practice. The association facilitates debate on economic issues, promotes economic research, and serves as a vital network for economists in the Netherlands. KVS is also responsible for publishing the prominent Dutch economics journal Economisch Statistische Berichten (ESB).
