The company specialized in providing capital raising, financial advisory, and brokerage services to a diverse client base of corporations, institutional investors, and high-net-worth individuals. It had a strong focus on regional markets, particularly in the technology and healthcare sectors, eventually growing to a national presence. In 2007, it acquired Broadpoint Securities Group and was subsequently rebranded as Gleacher & Company in 2009. The successor company later ceased its primary business operations.
