Founded in 1975, the ACTRA Fraternal Benefit Society (AFBS) is a federally incorporated, not-for-profit fraternal benefit society. It is owned and operated by its members, who are primarily from the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) and the Writers Guild of Canada (WGC). The society's mission is to provide high-quality, specialized insurance and investment products tailored to the unique and often unpredictable careers of its members, helping them achieve financial security and well-being.
