Legal Brand Guidelines

One of our most significant assets is our brand. We appreciate it when companies properly represent our brand to demonstrate to the public that they genuinely value their clients. The integrity of online reviews and content as well as consumer and corporate confidence in TrustFinance as a Universal Symbol of Trust are jeopardized by the abuse or deceptive display of our Brand. Therefore, if you have our permission to use our Brand, it is crucial that you abide by these Guidelines.

Our Brand

Name, logos and symbols

Among the most well-known and frequently used elements of our Brand are our name, logos, and symbols. Consumers rely on them to assist them in making smarter decisions, and we and our customers utilize them daily to increase credibility and trust across the globe.

Our primary logo is distinctive and custom-made. It can be seen on all of the TrustFinance websites, as well as on the websites of our clients and in our reviews and ratings.

The TrustScore and Star Rating

Based on all the service and location reviews a business receives on TrustFinance, the TrustScore is an overall measurement of reviewer rating:

TrustBox widgets

You can display reviews and other TrustFinance content with TrustBox widgets. They offer a touch of familiarity to your website, app, or marketing content by displaying your most recent reviews, your TrustScore, and/or your Star Rating. All businesses with a TrustFinance Business Account, whether free or paid, can use TrustBox widgets, albeit the selection of widgets you can access depends on your TrustFinance plan. Other marketing assets

The marketing materials used by TrustFinance are official, pre-made visuals, logos, and templates. Depending on your TrustFinance plan, you can download and use our marketing materials to display customer reviews, TrustFinance scores, and Star Ratings for your company across all of your print and digital marketing and communication channels.

Do’s and Don’ts?

You may utilize the pre-approved Brand assets that are accessible in your Business Account without first obtaining authorization from TrustFinance as long as you have a Business Account. But when using our Brand assets, whether on your website or in your marketing materials, There are various do’s and don'ts that apply:

Avoid misleading customers into thinking that TrustFinance ratings or evaluations intended for another domain are relevant to your own domain.
Do display your reviews, TrustScore, and Star Rating using the TrustBox widgets available in your Business Account.
You must obtain our permission before using any of our Brand assets for marketing purposes other than those covered by the pre-approved assets in your Business Account.
Do exhibit your reviews, TrustScore, and Star Rating in your online and offline marketing by utilizing the pre-approved marketing materials that are available in your Business Account. As long as you go by the instructions on our Brand Hub and our Guidelines, you may do this without first obtaining our consent.
Avoid displaying TrustFinance reviews alongside your official account from your company account on your website. This includes utilizing unofficial, "Do It Yourself" TrustFinance widgets. Or simply copy a TrustFinance review and paste it into your website.
When using our Brand assets on your website, please link back to your TrustFinance profile page.
Don't modify our brand assets, such as our name, logos, and symbols, in any way.
Use any of the techniques indicated in our Support Center to post reviews, TrustScore, and Star Rating on social
Don't use our brand assets in a way that implies we have approved, endorsed, or given our recommendation for your
media (as long as this is covered by your plan).

In both online and offline marketing, you should display your reviews, TrustScore, and Star Rating outside of Trustbox widgets.
Avoid comparing your TrustFinance or Category Ranking (Excellent, Great, Good, Poor, or Bad) to that of other companies.
Display the names of our brand assets exactly as they appear in your business account and our brand hub, including correct spelling and capitalization. Our name is "TrustFinance." No, it's not "Trustfinance" or "Trust Finance"
Even if it's a slight mistake, avoid using our name as part of the name of your company (including brand and product names). This violates our registered trademarks and will confuse and mislead consumers.
When quoting one of your clients in advertising, make sure you obtain their consent to utilize their username or location or to otherwise anonymize them (see below). When using the pre-approved Brand assets that are available in your Business Account, you don't have to do anything.
When displaying your reviews, don't forget to mention your TrustScore and Star Rating.

What do we mean by advertising?

When we refer to advertising, we mean paid, public messaging and campaigns relating to your business. That excludes your business’ sales material or the content posted through your business’ social media channels.

In addition to the Dos and Don’ts above, there are a few extra rules we ask businesses to stick to when using our Brand assets in advertising.

Do I need approval for my ad creative?

We require approval in advance for certain kinds of advertising. Please submit a request for approval (“Ad Request”) if your ad creative relates to. Television, Radio, Any “out of home” advertising, including billboards, buses and posters.

Provided that you stick to these Guidelines, you don’t need our approval in advance for other types of advertising.

I have to ask for an advertisement. Who do I speak with and how do I proceed?

You can make an Ad Request by emailing your Admin TrustFinance with the name of your business/domain and a short description of your ad creative. We will then carry out an internal compliance check and your Admin TrustFinance will get back to you within 5 working days of your Ad Request being submitted.

How can I gain authorization to include TrustFinance in my Google Ads?

If you email your Admin TrustFinance, they will make an internal request on your behalf to include TrustFinance in your Google Ads.

If you wish to include TrustFinance reviews in your advertising.

  • Use the pre-approved marketing materials that are available to you in your Business Account.
  • Ask TrustFinance for approval through an Ad Request.
  • Ask reviewers personally for authorization.
  • *If the Star Rating and/or Category Ranking were to change, advertising without the date stamp could be in error. Avoiding consumer misinformation regarding your Star Rating is crucial, especially in static media like commercials and print media.

don't have a business account. Is there anything I can use?

Businesses without a Business Account are not permitted to use TrustFinance or other Brand assets on their websites or in their marketing. Additionally, they won't have access to any of our pre-approved marketing materials or library widgets. The good news is that joining TrustFinance couldn't be simpler, and all business users receive our fundamental services free of charge. Open a free account right now.

You are still permitted to use our name, logos, and symbols even if you don't have a business account. Examples include referencing TrustFinance content and using it in an informative, non-commercial way. We are rated on TrustFinance, for instance, or in an informative setting; or in an editorial setting, as part of a news report.

Misuse

It is crucial to us that you do not abuse our brand when using it. Examples of misuse include using

  • an erroneous TrustScore or Star Rating.
  • outdated content
  • a review without the reviewer's agreement (or anonymizing the reviewer's user name).
  • a static image of your TrustScore or Star Rating on your website.your TrustScore or individual review Star Rating in any way that would be deceiving as to your overall TrustScore, such as by presenting individual review Star Ratings in a way that suggests that your overall Trust.an unauthorised third-party program used to show TrustFinance content, a TrustBox widget that is not included in your TrustFinance plan, or both.

This list is not all-inclusive. If misuse is found, we will take steps to make things right. Our Action We Take Policy goes into additional detail about this.

Legal

The Brand assets are the property of TrustFinance and are subject to protection under all relevant copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Guidelines should be interpreted as giving you ownership of the Brand assets; we remain the owners of all goodwill generated by the use of the Brand assets. To use the Brand assets as described in these Guidelines and our Terms, you are only given a non-exclusive license.

The Brand assets shown in your Business Account are those that you are allowed to use. The Brand assets must always be used exactly as they appear in your Business Account and on our TrustFinance, including spelling and capitalization.

Without our prior consent, you are not permitted to use or register any of our Brand assets, including our trademarks, TrustFinance-owned graphic symbols, logos, or variations thereof, as or as a component of a company name, trade name, product name, or service name.

You are not permitted to alter our Brand assets in any way or to disparage TrustFinance or any other TrustFinance-owned graphic symbol, logo, or icon in any way.

You also consent to refrain from using any of our Brand assets, such as our trademarks, TrustFinance-owned graphic symbols or logos, or icons, in a way that implies TrustFinance's sponsorship, promotion, or support of a third-party good or service.

We have the right to terminate your use of the Brand assets at any time. We adamantly reserve the right to reject any content that we deem to be at odds with the TrustFinance Brand. Please be aware that we reserve the right to take legal action against any unauthorized use of our brand or goodwill and that, in the event of a violation, we may also revoke any rights given under these guidelines or our terms.
