Assurant Employee Benefits was the brand name for the employee benefits business of Assurant, Inc., a global provider of risk management solutions. The division specialized in offering a suite of group insurance products to employers, such as dental, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and voluntary benefits. In March 2016, Sun Life Financial Inc. completed the acquisition of Assurant's Employee Benefits business. The acquisition significantly expanded Sun Life's group benefits presence in the United States, and the former Assurant Employee Benefits operations and products were subsequently integrated and rebranded under the Sun Life name.
