ZEP-RE (PTA Reinsurance Company) was established by an agreement of the Heads of State of the Preferential Trade Area (now COMESA) in 1990. Its mission is to foster the development of the insurance and reinsurance industry in the region, promote the growth of regional underwriting and retention capacities, and support regional economic development. The company offers a wide range of reinsurance services for various classes of business, including property, casualty, life, and agriculture, serving insurance companies across Africa.
