The Zambia Credit Guarantee Scheme (ZCGS) Limited is a company wholly owned by the Bank of Zambia, the country's central bank. It was established with the primary mission of facilitating access to affordable financing for viable Micro, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Zambia. ZCGS achieves this by providing partial credit guarantees to Financial Service Providers (FSPs) on loans they extend to MSMEs, which mitigates the FSPs' risk and encourages lending to this underserved sector to foster economic growth and job creation.
