XTRD.io was a technology company that aimed to bridge the gap between traditional financial markets and the digital asset ecosystem. Its core mission was to build a unified trading infrastructure, offering institutional clients a single, standardized FIX (Financial Information eXchange) API to access liquidity across numerous cryptocurrency exchanges. This approach was designed to eliminate the need for institutions to manage multiple APIs and connections, thereby simplifying order execution, market data access, and post-trade settlement. Founded by experienced Wall Street veterans, the company was acquired in early 2019 by the South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Coinbit (which later rebranded to NCX). Following the acquisition, the XTRD.io brand and its standalone operations were absorbed into the parent company.
