Founded in 1999, the University Securities Investment Team (USIT) is a prominent student-run organization at the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Its primary mission is to provide members with a comprehensive financial education and practical, hands-on experience in investment management. The organization manages a real-money, six-figure equity portfolio on behalf of the University of Texas Investment Management Company (UTIMCO). USIT operates a rigorous three-tiered training program covering financial fundamentals, valuation, and portfolio management to develop its members' analytical and professional skills for careers in finance.
