The Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) was licensed to operate in June 1997 by the Capital Markets Authority of Uganda. Initially established as a non-profit company, it was demutualized in May 2021 to become a company limited by shares named USE Limited. Its core mission is to develop and promote an orderly, fair, and efficient securities market in Uganda by providing a regulated facility for raising capital and trading a wide range of financial instruments, including equities and corporate and government bonds.
