Founded in 1936 by faculty and staff of The University of Texas, University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. Unlike a traditional bank, UFCU is owned by its members and operates with a mission focused on their financial well-being rather than maximizing profits.
