TWINT AG is a Swiss mobile payment company owned by Switzerland's largest banks (BCV, Credit Suisse, PostFinance, Raiffeisen, UBS, ZKB) and the financial infrastructure provider SIX. Launched in 2015 and later merged with the rival solution Paymit, TWINT has become the de facto standard for digital payments in Switzerland. The service allows users to link their bank account or credit card to the app to pay at cash registers, in online shops, at vending machines, and to send or request money to and from other users instantly.
