Twine
Information by Research TrustFinance
Twine was a FinTech application launched in 2017 by John Hancock, a subsidiary of Manulife Financial Corporation. Its mission was to simplify saving and investing for millennials by allowing them to set collaborative goals, automate contributions from linked bank accounts, and invest in managed portfolios of exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The app targeted major life events like down payments on a house, weddings, or vacations. Despite its innovative approach to collaborative finance, John Hancock decided to shut down the Twine app and service in June 2021 to refocus its digital strategy.
