Sunshine Bank was a state-chartered, FDIC-insured bank headquartered in Plant City, Florida. Founded in 1954, it operated as a community-focused institution, providing a comprehensive suite of banking products including personal and business checking/savings accounts, loans, mortgages, and wealth management services across its network of branches in Central Florida. In 2018, its parent company, Sunshine Bancorp, Inc., was acquired by CenterState Bank Corporation, which subsequently merged with SouthState Corporation in 2020 to form the present-day SouthState Bank.
