Sunrise Finance is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that allows users to stake their Solana (SOL) tokens in a non-custodial manner. In return for staking, users receive a liquid token (gSOL) which can be used across the DeFi ecosystem. The protocol's core mission is to promote sustainability by directing a portion of staking rewards to carbon offsetting and climate-positive projects, effectively creating "carbon-neutral" yield. It also aims to enhance the decentralization and security of the Solana network by distributing staked assets across a diverse and high-performing set of validators.
