Established in 1986 by the Government of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Pension Plan (SPP) is a non-profit, voluntary defined contribution pension plan. Its mission is to provide a straightforward and low-cost retirement savings option for individuals who may not have access to a workplace pension. While established by the provincial government, the plan is open to all Canadians with RRSP contribution room, regardless of their employment status or province of residence. SPP focuses on professionally managed, pooled funds to offer members a simple path to growing their retirement savings.
