Established on December 16, 1967 (Poush 1, 2024 B.S.) under the Company Act, Rastriya Beema Sansthan was later converted into a public corporation under the "Rastriya Beema Sansthan Act, 2025". As a government-owned entity, its mission is to expand the insurance business across Nepal, mobilize internal capital and resources for national economic development, and reduce the outflow of currency for re-insurance purposes. The corporation primarily focuses on providing various life insurance policies to individuals and groups.
