Rakuten Trade is a joint venture between Japan's Rakuten Securities, Inc. and Malaysia's Kenanga Investment Bank Berhad. Launched in 2017, it was the first company in Malaysia to receive a Capital Markets Services License from the Securities Commission to operate as a fully online equity broker. The company's mission is to democratize equity broking by providing a low-cost, user-friendly digital platform that enables investors to trade on Bursa Malaysia, as well as on international exchanges like the NYSE, NASDAQ, and HKEX, with a focus on simplicity and accessibility.
