Originally part of the Japanese tech giant Rakuten Group, Rakuten Pay - Brasil operated as a comprehensive online payment platform for the Brazilian market. It provided e-commerce merchants with a payment gateway to accept various local payment methods, including credit cards, bank transfers, and the popular "boleto bancário". In late 2019, the service was acquired by the Brazilian company Ten Shopping S.A. and was subsequently rebranded and integrated into the "PayMee" payment platform, which continues to offer digital payment solutions in Brazil.
