Established in 1997, Qatar Development Bank (QDB) is a financial entity fully owned by the State of Qatar. Its primary mission is to advance the economic development and diversification of Qatar's private sector, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. QDB achieves this by providing a suite of financial and advisory services to support entrepreneurs and SMEs from inception to maturity. These services include direct and indirect financing, investment in startups, export development and promotion through its "Tasdeer" program, and providing advisory and mentorship services to foster a sustainable and competitive business ecosystem in Qatar.
