Established in 2005 under the Indonesian Ministry of Finance, PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (Persero), or SMF, is a State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) tasked with developing and promoting the secondary mortgage market in Indonesia. Its primary mission is to provide long-term funding to mortgage lenders through securitization and financing activities. By channeling funds from the capital market to the housing finance sector, SMF aims to increase the affordability and accessibility of homeownership for the Indonesian public, thereby supporting the government's national housing program.
