Prairieland EDC is the primary economic development corporation for Champaign County, Illinois. As a private, non-profit entity, its mission is to foster a globally competitive economy by attracting new businesses, supporting the retention and expansion of existing companies, and promoting entrepreneurship. It works in partnership with local governments, educational institutions, and private businesses to provide resources and support, including site selection assistance, access to financing and incentive programs, and workforce development initiatives. The organization was formed to centralize economic development efforts and drive sustainable growth in the region.
