Originally chartered in 1954 as the Oklahoma City Municipal Employees Credit Union, the institution has since grown to become Oklahoma's Credit Union (OKCU). As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, its mission is to provide affordable financial services, including personal and business banking, loans, and investment services, while focusing on the financial well-being of its members and the community it serves. All deposits are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
