Nest
Information by Research Trustfinance
Originally founded in 2010 by former Apple engineers Tony Fadell and Matt Rogers as Nest Labs, the company pioneered the smart home market with its flagship product, the Nest Learning Thermostat. Its mission was to create a "thoughtful home" with simple, beautiful, and helpful devices. Google acquired Nest Labs in 2014 for $3.2 billion. In 2018, Nest was merged into Google's hardware division, and in 2019, the brand was officially renamed Google Nest, combining the former Google Home and Nest product lines into a single ecosystem.
